the secret
"the secret" - heard of that? it's quite big in aussie - i think... i've seen it a common of times on tv... juz now there was a oprah talk show on the secret... i've seen it in the bookshops too.. dunno sg got this or not... anyway.. the secret is the law of attraction.. which basically see us, human beings, as engery... and when we focus on something, it gives vibration and attracts the things we focus on (something like tat?).. so, if u focus on you will be rich rather than how pathetically poor you are now, or if u focus on feeling good rather than "im very stressed and strugglying" now - you'll get the good things instead of the bad...

this sounds exactly like the kind of crap my dad would like, and believe... the law of attraction - the ends of it is good, a person becomes more focused, more positive, lives happy! BUT the means of it is bad... it kicks God out of the picture... there's something goofy about it, but i think, yea, the main prob is it disregards God's involvement. "the bad things happen to us becos WE focus on the bad things, and the good things happens becos WE focus on the good thing." ends justify mean - telelogical ethic approach (haha, see i really do study my PR subjects) - but i dun think ends should justify means... it doesnt work that way, not in this case at least...
in anycase, the more you see the secret in a more objective way, the more u'll start to find it goofy too... so world, be aware and be curious! but safeguard your souls... ;)
